12/10 & 13/10/06

Work on all the pieces.
Major ongoing work on the Three Figures. These refuse to settle and it occurs to me that they (being Renaissance) need a chiaroscuro solution. Will increase contrast and a greater tonal intensity.

 

11/10/06

All measurements for the third piece are lain out. This will be a Renaissance piece with a three dimensional object held within a niche. The three figures are derived from a painting done some years earlier which in itself was a tribute to Renaissance triptychs.

The Tokolosh figure is inserted and restrained with webbing and bandages.

The aim and focus of the Art Residency at No. 76 is to enable the successful applicant to research and develop their practice.
